This is a fun introduction to the joys of pin loom weaving. Taught by the author of three current pin loom weaving books, this class takes you from novice to knowledgeable in one afternoon. We will practice weaving pin loom squares and construct a Flat Rat, the perfect silly bookmark. There are no loom or yarn requirements, everything you need to make your very own Flat Rat will be provided. This is a great class to explore this fun approach to weaving.

| Materials provided by instructor | Extensive printed instructions that cover weaving on a pin loom, a variety of overshot patterns for the pin loom, instructions on joining pin loom squares and information on sources to purchase pin looms as well as further online weaving resources. The class will also provide the use of 4" pin looms and a variety of yarns for pattern and joining samples. All other weaving tools needed for the class will be provided. |

Margaret Stump
Margaret Stump has been weaving on pin looms for over forty years. (Actually, it’s closer to fifty, going on sixty, but she would prefer not to admit it.) Margaret is the author of three books: Pin Loom Weaving, Pin Loom Weaving To Go, and Adorable Beasts: 30 Pin Loom Woven Animals & 4 Playscapes. She is a regular contributor to national fiber and craft magazines including Handwoven, Easy Weaving with Little Looms, Spin Off, and Yarn AU, with a current total of forty-three projects/articles to her name. While Margaret has explored many styles of weaving, she has always returned to pin looms, finding that their size and ease of use made them optimum building blocks for her creative efforts. She most enjoys sharing this portable form of weaving with others and introducing the idea that weavers, like knitters and spinners, can sit in a circle and create.
