We’re less than a month away from the 2014 North Country Fiber Fair!
There is still much to be done and I have some reminders for you…
September 1st is the date to remember: class registrations, bag orders and banquet reservations need to be in by September 1st! You can print out a registration form for all three here on the website under the 2014 Fiber Fair menu. Unfortunately we are not able to accept class registrations on the website, but there are instructions for mailing the completed registration forms on the registration forms themselves.
We would also like to announce an opportunity for you to have Coffee With The Board at 10am on Sunday morning. Get to know your NCFF board members, ask us questions, find out how you can become involved. All are welcome.
We are still in need of volunteers, especially for setup on Friday and on Sunday. If you’d like to volunteer please e-mail Betty at email@example.com.
Lastly, do you have a favorite project/skein or one that you’re particularly proud of from the past two years? (I think we all do…) You should enter it in the fiber competition! You will receive constructive criticism pointing out the strong areas of your project and the areas that could use work. You will also received the admiration of many NCFF attendees as the projects will be on display for the duration of the fiber fair! Prizes are awarded for the top projects and judging is completely anonymous. The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday.
If maybe you feel that you’re not ready to have your projects judged but you want to show them off anyways, there’s the Saturday night fashion show for that! This is an opportunity for you to strut your stuff and show off all of your hard work. This is also where we will be showing off all of the MAL (Modesitt-a-Long) projects but you don’t have to be participating in the MAL to participate in the fashion show.
You can find entry forms for both the fiber/skein competition and the fashion show here on the website.
We’re looking forward to seeing each and every on of you at the 2014 NCFF!
Until then, wishing you fibery dreams!
