Here’s the most recent news from the board…
The booklet is out and the board members are busy finalizing plans for this year’s North Country Fiber Fair! You can download and view the booklet on the website. There is also a section titled “Class Updates”, check here to see if the classes you want to take are full. Remember, class registration is first come, first serve.
We still have the MAL (Modesitt A Long) going on. See the “2014 KAL Ideas” thread in the NCFF group in Ravelry. We will be showing off our projects during the fashion show after the Saturday night supper.
Speaking of the fashion show, It’s a great way to show off your talents and hard work. We will be taking fashion show submissions at the event. Be thinking about the projects you’d like to show off to everyone!
Another great way to show off your talents and hard work is to enter the project and hand spun skein competitions. Not only is this a really great way to show off those projects you’re especially proud of, it’s also a great way to help you improve your techniques through constructive criticism. More details about entering your project or skein can be found in the booklet. Entry deadline is Friday, Sept 19th at 5pm.
Remember the deadline for submitting class registrations and registration for the Saturday night supper in is Sept 1st. Our Saturday supper will be catered by Good to Go again this year. The food was phenomenal last year and I highly recommend attending again this year.
This year, we’re selling some very nice NCFF canvas bags. You can find the form to purchase one of these beauties in the booklet as well. They will be available for pick up at this year’s NCFF. You can pre-pre purchase raffle tickets for the spinning wheel raffle on the same form as well. There is no deadline for purchasing spinning wheel raffle tickets. Raffle tickets will also be available for purchase at the event.
Check back often for more updates!
